All training is personalized and taught one-on-one between instructor and student. If you prefer, you can bring a partner or a small group to train with. Large group classes often limit individual progress, so I keep sessions focused and flexible—private, partner, or small group—based on what works best for you.
Discounts are provided for partner training.
Instructor Chris teaches self defense from three perspectives.
Think Street: Focus on practical techniques for unpredictable, real-world situations. This principle emphasizes self-defense and how martial arts apply outside the gym or competition. Always consider how techniques work in real life, where anything can happen.
Train Sport: Structured training designed to improve skill and strategy within clear rules.
Sport training lets practitioners test techniques against resisting opponents, sharpen skills, and learn strategy safely. It’s the best way to practice effectively while reducing injury risk, building both technique and conditioning.
Practice Art: Commit to continuous improvement and mastery. This aspect highlights the thoughtful and creative side of martial arts. It prioritizes technique, leverage, and timing over strength, encouraging a deeper connection to the discipline through constant learning and refinement.
These principles guide all the courses we teach. Street Safe - Combat Flow - Resist
RESIST is a structured women’s self-defense system designed for real-world protection at long range, close range, and on the ground.
The program consists of six courses total and combines principles and techniques from Muay Thai, Filipino Martial Arts, Jeet Kune Do, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu into a practical, adaptable system created specifically for women. Training emphasizes decision-making under pressure rather than memorization.
Students learn the psychological dynamics of assaults, striking tools such as eye jabs, groin kicks, headbutts, knees, elbows, and distance management, as well as ground survival, escapes, and offensive options. The system is scalable and accessible for women of all sizes, abilities, and experience levels.
Combat Flow is a comprehensive martial arts curriculum divided into four main modules that continues to develop striking, grappling, weapons, and clinching.
Muay Thai Combat: Blends Muay Thai and Savate to sharpen striking and defense. The curriculum covers punches, elbows, knees, kicks, combinations, defensive techniques, clinch work, and core striking-defense skills. Train to link offense and defense, adapt to opponents, and build skill, fitness, and confidence for real-world effectiveness.
Street BJJ: Teaches practical, real-world self-defense using Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and Catch Wresting principles. The program covers ground control, clinch work, takedowns, escapes, and ground punch defense through step-by-step lessons for all skill levels.
JKD Kali Essentials: A functional self-defense system blending Filipino, Malaysian, and Indonesian weapon arts with Jeet Kune Do and Wing Chun. Training integrates stick, knife, and empty-hand skills, emphasizing interception, centerline control, efficient footwork, and close-range control to develop speed, precision, and real-world confidence.
Close Quarter Tactics: Teaches locking, close-range distance control, and clinch dominance using Filipino close-range strikes plus wrestling and Muay Thai clinch techniques (underhooks, overhooks, trips, body locks). Through progressive partner drills, resistance transitions, and scenario sparring you'll develop reliable locks, takedowns, escapes, and the ability to control threats with minimal force.
Street Safe is a practical self-defense program using evidence-based methods for real-world situations. It covers stand-up defense, ground fighting, clinch/locking technique, and weapons training to build skills and confidence. The courses are Rapid Assault Tactics, Ground Fighting Combatives, Tactical Control Restraint, and Primal Weapons Training.
The program is designed to teach practical skills quickly and efficiently, faster than traditional martial arts.
